José Quintino Rogado is a researcher at Copelabs and Associate Professor foto José Rogadoin ECATI/ULHT, the School of Communication, Arts, Architecture and Information Technology at Lusófona (Lisbon), where he directs the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. His teaching areas include Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Distributed Systems, Identity Management and Parallel Computing.
Graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST, Lisbon) in Electrical Engineering, has a “Doctorat d’Université” in Information Systems from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) and a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL). José was, for four years, guest researcher at the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique en Automatique (INRIA – France), where he worked on several projects in the field of operating systems and optimizing performance. He spent 7 years as a researcher at the Open Software Research Institute in Grenoble (France), where he participated in projects related to the architecture of operating systems. His current academic interests include Operating Systems, Security, Identity Management and Parallel Computing.
